

Reindeers, butterflies, cats and tigers were just a few of the characters seen running around at the new shopping mall as face painting fairies transformed children at The Heart’s first ever Christmas Shopping Evening on Friday, December 1; in conjunction with Walton Christmas Festival.
Children and shoppers of all ages were amazed by Ice King and Queen whilst receiving some delicious golden chocolate coin treats from The Heart. The Rotary Club’s Father Christmas warmed the hearts’ of youngsters excited about his big visit on the 24th. Balloons and brochures listing some of the best Christmas gift ideas from The Heart were also picked up by hundreds of people, making Christmas shopping easier this year.
There were exclusive offers for one night only from a number of The Heart shops whilst others were serving mince pies and chocolates. Waterstones had the pleasure of former BBC newsreader Frances Coverdale, author of the CHASE Charity book Red Face Stories, to partake in a book signing.
Walton Christmas Festival presented a lively selection of school choirs, the Salvation Army and other bands, refreshments and a spectacular lantern procession.
