Close to The Heart of shoppers, Walton’s new retail development opened on Wednesday, 25th October


Wednesday, 25th October saw The Heart of Walton come to life for the first time after three years of development. Crowds congregated around Studio Plaza to be part of the new shopping scheme’s opening and stepping through its entrance for the first time.

As the doors opened, a rush of people flooded into the stylish development to explore its contemporary architectural and lighting design and shop at its first stores: Next, Paperchase, New Look, The Body Shop, babyGap, Clarks, Johnson Shoes, Vision Express, and Shoon.

Free goody bags and champagne were on offer from some of the retailers and kids were welcomed by hundreds of The Heart balloons to celebrate the big day as the mall came to life when its shops filled up with excited shoppers for the first time. Only an hour after the opening, The Heart launched its “WIN a car” promotion, giving shoppers the chance to win a brand new VW Polo, revealed at Studio Plaza.

A palette of sought after retailers have opened their stores at The Heart since: Coast, Hobbs, LK Bennett, Waterstones, River Island, Virgin Megastores, Tchibo, Perfume Point, Ulla Popkin Costa Coffee, Claire’s Accessorises, Carphone Warehouse, Zest and Rush are all part of The Heart shopping experience.

The New Year will bring the arrival of some further sought after brands such as Monsoon and Accessorize as well as the launch of the restaurant line up in early Spring, presenting shoppers with an additional social edge at The Heart.
